Privacy policy
Effective October 22, 2026
The short version
The developer of Billow collects no data about you. Billow has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising or tracking.
Where your data lives
- On your iPhone. Transactions, categories and notes are stored locally on your device. Your Plaid keys and bank access tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on that device.
- At Plaid, under your own account. When you link a bank, Billow uses the Plaid account you created. Plaid receives your bank connection and transaction data under its own terms — see Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. Billow talks to Plaid directly from your device; nothing passes through any server operated by the developer.
- Apple Pay taps. If you set up the optional Shortcuts automation, the amount, merchant and card name of each tap are passed to Billow on your device only.
Deleting your data
Remove a bank in Accounts to delete its transactions from your iPhone and disconnect it at Plaid. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored. You can also manage or delete your Plaid account at dashboard.plaid.com.
