Billow

Billow tracks spending on all your credit cards automatically. It connects to your banks through your own free Plaid account, so there is no Billow server: your keys and transactions stay on your iPhone and are sent only to Plaid.

Set up bank sync (about 10 minutes, once)

  1. Create a free account at dashboard.plaid.com.
  2. Apply for the free Trial plan — real bank data for up to 10 bank logins (US & Canada). Describe the use case as personal expense tracking.
  3. In the dashboard, open Developers → API → Allowed redirect URIs and add https://billow-app.pages.dev/plaid/oauth
  4. Open Developers → Keys. In Billow, go to Accounts → Plaid keys and paste your client_id and Production secret, then tap Verify & save.
  5. Tap Link a bank and sign in on your bank's own page. Repeat for each bank.

One login per bank covers every card at that bank. Removing a bank does not give the Trial slot back, so use Reconnect if a login breaks.

Apple Card and instant Apple Pay logging

  1. Open Shortcuts → Automation → + → Transaction, select all cards, choose Run Immediately.
  2. Add the Log Card Tap action from Billow and map Amount, Merchant and Card from Shortcut Input.

This fires on in-store Apple Pay taps. When the same purchase later arrives from a linked bank, Billow merges the two.
